Scott Tieche: I first moved from Minnesota to Lake Tahoe on Valentine’s Day 1980 and worked for Squaw Valley USA for over eight years, finishing my time there helping manage the “Liffties.” After that, I founded and ran Invisible Fencing of the Sierra for about six years before turning my focus to real estate.
In 1995, I became a licensed, full-time real estate professional in both Nevada and California here on Lake Tahoe’s North Shore. Working with Ann Nichols And Company at the Stateline gave me invaluable experience across every type of property and price point. Career highlights include representing record-setting sales on the lake in Incline Village — both of which stood for years, until the unprecedented market of 2021.
This exposure has given me a true historical perspective on real estate at Lake Tahoe and the surrounding region. Being mentored by, and partnering with, Ann Nichols all these years has been priceless.
Beyond sales, I’ve served in leadership roles on committees and boards in both states, including three terms as IVR MLS chairman. In 2018, I was honored as Incline Village REALTORS® “REALTOR of the Year,” recognizing my dedication to the profession.
In 2016, I briefly stepped away from sales to serve as managing broker for Sierra Sotheby’s International Realty in Incline Village. While leadership has always been part of my path, I realized managing dozens of brokers wasn’t the right fit. I returned to our truly boutique brokerage — Ann Nichols And Company — which feels much more my style.
